ELLIOTT
Elliott had already started school before School of Today opened. He was struggling badly. He hated school - frequently hiding under the desk, and sitting for hours without writing a single letter. His mother knew something was very wrong. Her concern reached a peak the day someone gave him softdrink at school, and it affected him to the point where he ran onto a major road in a state of confusion. Right then, his mother decided that he needed a small country-school atmosphere, without the temptations of junk food, which had an obvious affect on his behaviour. Shortly after he started at this new school, a psychologist identified the cause of his fear of school, and inability to integrate with others - he has a condition call Asperges (a form of high-functioning autism) Despite being in the top 2% as far as intelligence is concerned, he needed a slightly different type of schooling - one which is individualised, without the stress of keeping up with the rest of the class (in fact, in many areas, he worked well ahead of his class level). Once Elliott had settled into this form of schooling, he had a chance in life. He has taken that chance. The Asperges has not left him. However, speaking to him now, he appears a confident and competent young adult. Elliott is gifted with computers, and is currently studying Information Technology.
