Jubilee Christian College, Atherton, proposes to start Innisfail Christian College for Prep to Year 7 students.  An application has been made to the Queensland government’s Non-State Schools’ Accreditation Board for permission to commence this new school.

It was intended to commence the new school in buildings on the grounds of the Tabernacle of Yeshua church in Riley Street, East Innisfail.  However that site is no longer available to us, and our proposal to commence Innisfail Christian College has been delayed whilst we work with the Innisfail Shire Council in approving a new, independent site in Innisfail.

You may have been aware, that originally, Jubilee Christian College operated its Innisfail Resource Centre for Distance Education students from Riley Street, working  with both primary and secondary students who were enrolled in our Distance Education program in Atherton.  We provided a high level of tutorial support and additional activities for these students, with teaching and teacher aide staff based at the Riley Street site.

Whilst the opening of Innisfail Christian College has been delayed, we are continuing with our Innisfail Resource Centre, which from the beginning of 2008, has been operating in the SDA Community building at the SDA complex in Lawrence Road, Innisfail. The Innisfail Resource Centre will eventually be combined on a new site with Innisfail Christian College Prep to Year 7.

Innisfail Christian College is being designed to operate in the same manner as its sister school, Jubilee Christian College, Atherton.  We also operate Glenlee Christian College in Rockhampton.
